Robert “Scott” Schmitt, 42, of 625 E. Spring Street in St.Marys, OH died 4:20 p.m. Wednesday October 24, 2007 at the scene of a pedestrian/semi truck accident on US 33 West in rural St.Marys.

He was born November 27, 1964 in Bowling Green, OH to Paul F. & Sharon S. (Boyer) Schmitt.

On January 10, 1994, he married Veronica Evans, who survives.

He is also survived by:

• Son, Chazz Schmitt @ home

• Son, Chase Schmitt @ home

• Parents, Paul & Sharon Schmitt of Montezuma, OH

• Sister, Cynthia (Rick) Tolley of Wabash, IN

• Sister, Pamela (Jeff) August of Celina, OH

Mr. Schmitt was a 1983 graduate of Celina Sr. High School.

He had served his country as a member of the US Coast Guard.  Prior to becoming disabled, he had been employed at the Evans Roofing Co. and the St.Marys Foundry Co.  He was a baptized member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, OH.

An avid sports fan, he supported the Cincinnati Reds, The OSU Buckeyes and the Dallas Cowboys.

His most cherished times in life were those spent with his sons.

Funeral Services are scheduled 11:00 a.m. Monday October 29, 2007 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home (High Street Chapel) in St.Marys, with the Rev. Anthony Cutcher, officiating. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton, OH.

Visitation will be held  5 - 8 p.m. Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home on High Street.
