Margaret L. Rider, 80, of 160 Watercrest Drive in St. Marys, OH died 11:05 p.m. Monday February 27, 2012 at her residence.

She was born September 12, 1931 in Rossburg, OH to Jesse and Edith (Compton) Ross.

On June 27, 1953 at Shook’s Chapel in Darke Co., OH, she married Allen L. Rider, who survives.

She is also survived by:  

Son, Jeffrey (Joyce) Rider  of Ansonia, OH

Daughter, Cynthia (Irvin) Coats  of St. Marys, OH

7 grandchildren:  Ashley Steineke, Sara Coats, Joseph Rider, Cory Coats, Jamie Coats, Sheena Kocher, Alex Grote

4 great-grandchildren

Sister, Betty Myers  of St. Marys, OH

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Edith Ross and her brother, Robert Ross.

She was a 1950 graduate of Ansonia High School.

She was a homemaker and attended the First Baptist Church in St. Marys.

The lives of her grandchildren were of utmost importance to her.

Rites are scheduled 11:00 a.m. Friday March 2, 2012 at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys, with the Rev. Mark Foor, officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, in St. Marys.

Visitation 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
