Florence Mary Meyers, 94, of 1140 South Knoxville Avenue, St.Marys, OH died at 4:48 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the Golden Living Center—Valley Nursing Home, St.Marys, OH. 

Florence was born January 29, 1914 in St.Marys, OH, the daughter of F. Fred and Louise (Beckman) Critten. 

She married Kenneth H. Meyers on June 20, 1936 and he preceded her in death on November 7, 1963. 

She is survived by:

¨ Daughter, Ann Dammeyer of St.Marys, OH

¨ 3 grandchildren:  Kenneth (Shirley) Dammeyer of St.Marys, OH; Beth Slife of St.Marys, OH; and Lesia (Kurt) Arnett of New Knoxville, OH.

¨ 8 great-grandchildren

¨ 1 great-grandchild

¨ Brother, Fred Critten of Lexington, KY 

She was preceded in death by her parents,; her husband; her grandson, Jeffery Dammeyer; her brother, Harry Critten and her sister, Dorothy Swartz. 

After attending school in St.Marys, she was employed at the DWG Cigar factory and for twenty years she was manager of Jack’s Shoe Store.  She had been a member of the Holy Rosary Altar Society and the Catholic Ladies of Columbus.   

She greatly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoyed playing cards.  She was a faithful follower of the Cincinnati Reds, the St.Marys Roughriders and the Ohio State Buckeye football team.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 12, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High St., St.Marys, OH with the Rev. Anthony Cutcher officiating.  Visitation will be held Thursday, December 11, 2008 at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m.

Memorials will be directed to the Friends of Holy Rosary School.
