Jackie Lininger, 77, of 501 North Augustus Street, St.Marys, OH, died 1:50 P.M. Monday, August 13, 2007 at Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community. 

She was born May 9, 1930, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Barber) Fredericks. 

She married H. William Lininger on December 10, 1949; he preceded her in death on June 16, 2000. 

She is survived by:

· Son, William (Dottie) Lininger of St.Marys, OH

· Son,  Jack (Lynette) Lininger of St.Marys, OH

· Son, Jerry (Deb) Becher of Wapakoneta, OH

· Daughter, Pam (Greg Jones) Laffin of St.Marys, OH

· Son, Mike (Nancy) Lininger of Portland, IN

· Daughter,  Mary (Pat) Williams of St.Marys, OH

· Daughter, Kris (Bill) Deitsch of St.Marys, OH

· 23 grandchildren

· 30 great-grandchildren

· Sister, Carol (Paul) Huber of Waverly, OH

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two granddaughters: Chastity Kinser and Amy Lininger; by a half-brother, James Lee. 

She was a 1948 graduate of Celina High School and attended Bowling Green State University. She was a legal secretary for Judge Shaw in Auglaize County, Ohio for many years, and she assisted her husband in the operation of Lininger Pony Rides. 

She was a member of Eagles Aux. 767 in Saint Marys, Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Altar Sodality. She loved to write poetry. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 17, 2007, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Saint Marys, the Reverend Anthony Cutcher, celebrant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial donations may be directed to Otterbein Benevolent Fund.
