Myrtle Mae Lietz, 92, formerly of 601 South Main Street, Saint Marys, and a resident of the Saint Marys Living Center, died 11:25 P.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at the Saint Marys Living Center.

She was born May 6, 1919, in Clay Twp, Auglaize County, Ohio, the daughter of Osborn and Nancy (Brackney) Dudgeon.
She married Ned Lietz on December 16, 1939 and he preceded her in death on July 21, 1999.

She is survived by her children: James (Carol) Lietz of Dickson, Tennessee; Faye (James) Hirt of Holland, Michigan; Donna (Dean) Kentner of Wapakoneta, Ohio; by seven grandchildren: Mark Lietz; Michael Lietz; Melissa Lietz; Julie Fleming; Brenda Pratt; Angela Meyer; Michael Kentner; by 10 great-grandchildren; by a sister-in-law, Cameo Dudgeon of Wapakoneta.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a granddaughter, Michelle Lietz; two sisters: Ethel Lamson and Opal Kaeck; three brothers: Leslie Dudgeon, Leonard Dudgeon, and Wilbur Dudgeon; by a great-grandson, Charlie Pratt.

Myrtle was a homemaker. She was a member of Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ in Saint Marys, and the Women’s Guild of the church. She was a member of the Saint Marys Senior Citizens. She will be remembered as a person who enjoyed helping others and was always generous with her time.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 10, 2011, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, the Reverend Dr. Ed Bray, officiant. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. til the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be given to Grand Lake Hospice.
