Victor L. Lewis, 57, of 100 Walnut Shore Drive, Celina, Ohio, and formerly of Piqua, died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at his residence of an apparent suicide.
He was born September 14, 1952, in Dayton, the son of Ivan and Frances (Hupp) Lewis, and they preceded him in death.
He married Evelyn “Stevie” Stephenson on September 15, 2007. She survives in
Saint Marys, Ohio.
He is also survived by two daughters: Angie (Harry) Jones of Piqua; April
(Brandon Foster) Lewis of Piqua; by his step-children: Micah (Rachel)
Bertholomey of Piqua; Jessica Faller Hinkle of Saint Marys; Richard Marley of
Saint Marys; Brad Hageman of Celina; Greg Faller of Toledop by fifteen
grandchildren; by two sisters: Gloria (Dale) Bashore of Troy; Sharon Lewis of
Troy; a brother, Chris Lewis of Casstown, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by an infant sister, Karen Lewis.
Vic was a 1970 graduate of Piqua Central High School. He had worked at Hammer Graphics for 32 years, where he was a press operator. He later worked at Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina, Ohio. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing, cruising in his golf cart, spending time with his grandchildren and hanging out with his friends at the Celina Moose. He was an avid bowler who had rolled two 300 games. He was a member of Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church in Celina.
A gathering of Vic’s friends and family will be held from 5-8 P.M. Monday, May 24, 2010, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Ohio, where memorial donations may be directed to the Auglaize County Cancer Association.
