Evelyn Huston, 88, formerly of 204 North Hickory St., St.Marys, OH died 2:04 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2007 at the Valley Nursing Home in St.Marys.

She was born November 7,1918 in St.Marys, the daughter of Fred and Florence (Langsdon) Speckman.

She married Homer Huston on March 16, 1940; he preceded her in death on August 22, 1990.

She is survived by:

· Daughter, Diana (Max) Prichard, St.Marys, OH

· Daughter, Beth (Wilbur) Rodeheffer, New Bremen, OH

· Son, Dave (Linda) Huston, New Knoxville, OH

· 8 grandchildren

· 17 great-grandchildren

· Sister, Dottie Monroe, Celina, OH

· Brother, Jerry (Marilyn) Speckman, St.Marys, OH

· Brother-in-law, Leon Jung, St.Marys, OH

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Virginia Jung.

Evelyn was a graduate of St.Marys Memorial High School.  She was a licensed practical nurse and had worked for many years at the former St.Marys Nursing Home.

 She was also the co-owner of Huston’s Sohio in St.Marys.

Evelyn was a member of St.Paul’s United Church of Christ in St.Marys, and the Women’s Circle of the church.  She was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed doing embroidery and cross stitch.  She made many quilts for her family.  In later years, she

provided loving care to her husband when he was ill.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH.  Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 -8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to St.Paul's United Church of Christ, the Auglaize County Unit of the American Cancer Society or Celina Area Visiting Nurses.
