Betty Jean Hile, 82, of 1119 Lane Avenue, Saint Marys, died 2:20 P.M. Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in Saint Marys.

She was born February 16, 1928, in Saint Marys, the daughter of Jim and Verda (Cramer) Micheal.

She married Arthur Hile on August 16, 1947 and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1998.

She is survived by her two children: Connie (Steve) Shannon of Saint Marys; Rick (Glenda) Hile of Saint Marys; by four grandchildren: Theresa (Doug) Noll of Celina; Bretta (Benjy) Slone of Saint Marys; Mark (Tina) Hile of Columbus, Ohio; Greg Hile of Yuma, Arizona; by five great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her siblings: Helen Davis; LaDonna Linn; Joe Micheal; Marilyn Micheal; Darlene Whitaker; Jim Micheal.

Betty had worked at the Saint Marys Cotton Mill for many years and also Goodyear Saint Marys. She was a homemaker in later years.

She attended Shekinah Temple in Saint Marys. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching sports, and traveling. She will be remembered as a very loving grandmother.

Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 31, 2011, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Judy Ball, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, where memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Wing of the Golden Living Center.
