Robert G. Hevlin, 80, of 509 Prospect Avenue, Lima, Ohio, died 8:38 P.M. Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Ohio State Medical Center, Columbus.
 

He was born June 24, 1931, in Saint Marys, the son of Clarence and Florence (Simon) Hevlin.
 

He is survived by a cousin, Thomas Hevlin of Saint Marys; by a special friend, Gene Warner of Lima.
 

He was preceded in death by his parents.
 

Robert was a graduate of Lima South High School. He retired from the Lima Post Office, where he had served as a letter carrier for 31 years. He later worked at Budget Truck Rental in Lima.
 

He was a member of Mercer Lodge #121 in Saint Marys, and the Aug-Mer Shrine Club. 

He loved college and professional football and working on his houses.
 

Funeral rites will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Ohio, the Reverend Ed Bray, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemtery.

 

Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
