Kim Douglas Herfurth, 57, of 329 S. Main Street in Mendon, OH, died Monday September 3, 2007 at his residence of an apparent heart attack.

He was born June 9, 1950 in Lima, OH to Jimmie & Donna (Gander) Herfurth.

On December 19, 1981, he married Lucinda C. Miller, who survives.

He is also survived by:

· Parents, Jimmie & Donna Herfurth of Spencerville, OH

· Brother, Hal (Vi) Herfurth of Kaneohe, HI

· Brother, Rex (Kathy ) Herfurth of Alger, OH

· Sister. Wendy Herfurth-Fox of Hamilton, OH

· Mother-in-law Mary Ellen Miller of Mendon, OH

· Numerous nieces & nephews

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, George Miller; 2 nephews: Tim Miller & Carl Goubeaux

He was a 1968 graduate of Spencerville High School.

A professional photographer, he was the owner of the Douglas Studio in Mendon. He had also served as a deputy for the Franklin Co. Sheriff’s Office for a number of years.

He was a member of the St.Paul’s United Church of Christ in St.Marys.

He enjoyed working with computers and animal rescue.

Services are scheduled 11:00 a.m. Saturday September 8, 2007 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home (High Street Chapel) in St.Marys. Burial will follow at the Willow Grove Cemetery near New Bremen, OH.

Visitation will be held after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home on High Street.
