Hazel D. Heil, 85, of 12720 East US Rt. 92, Lot 2105, Dover, FL and formerly of St.Marys, died 12:57 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 at Joint Township District Hospital in St.Marys, following a brief illness. 

She was born October 25, 1923 in Sidney, OH, the daughter of Bernard and Amanda (Byler) Dressback. 

She married Paul W. Heil on December 18, 1946; he preceded her in death on December 14, 2007. 

She is survived by:

¨ Daughter, Dorothy Reed of Dover, FL

¨ Son, William Heil of Dover, FL

¨ Daughter, Cynthia (Richard) Urban of Morriston, FL

¨ Daughter, Rebecca (Mike) Graves of Clinton, IA

¨ 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren

¨ Brother, Robert (Freda) Dressback of West Liberty, OH

¨ Lifelong close friend, Ruth Seewer of St.Marys, OH 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Carl and Vernon Dressback and by one sister, Lola Mae Wise. 

Hazel was the retired owner/operator of the Eastowne Beauty Shoppe in St.Marys.  She was a member of St.Paul’s United Church of Christ in St.Marys.  While living in FL she had been an active member of a community church choir.  She loved reading, sewing, painting and traveling.

Private family services will be held at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH. 

Joint burial rites for she and her late husband will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery in St.Marys, with the Rev. Ed Bray, officiant. 

Memorial donations may be given to St.Paul’s United Church of Christ in St.Marys.
