Kathleen Y. Gossard, 64, of 1025 Edwards Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, died suddenly at 8:35 P.M. Friday, March 16, 2012, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in Saint Marys.

 

She was born August 30, 1947, in Celina, Ohio, the daughter of Norbert and Betty Lou (Schroer) Steineman.

She married David Gossard on June 8, 1968 and he survives at the residence.

 

She is also survived by her four children: Brian Gossard of Saint Marys; Carolyn (Douglas) Bader of Saint Marys; Angela Gossard of Saint Marys; Paul Gossard of Saint Marys; by her four grandchildren: Lauren Coffey; Morgan Coffey; Evan Bader and Brandon Anthony.

 

She is survived by her siblings: Eugene (Betty Lou) Steineman of Pickerington, Ohio; Deborah (Keith) Steineman-Burkholder of Dublin, Ohio; Wayne (Donna) Steineman of New Bremen; Christine Ranly of New Bremen; David Steineman of New Bremen; John (Anastasia) Steineman of New Bremen.
 

She was preceded in death by her parents.
 

Kathleen was a 1966 graduate of New Bremen High School. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working word search puzzles. She was an active volunteer with Special Olympics  and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys. Her grandchildren and children were the center of her life.
 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Father Rick Friebel and Father Jerry Schetter, con- celebrants. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 Monday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to the Friends of the Saint Marys Library.
