Betty J. Ford, 77, of 515 Ruth Street, Wapakoneta, Ohio, died 8:12 A.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at St. Ritas Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.

She was born March 2, 1934, in Bellevue, Missouri, the daughter of William and Lillian (Winters) Reed..

 

She married Allen Ford and he preceded her in death on August 3, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her longtime companion, Joe  Myers.

 

She is survived by her two daughters: Sheba (Bill) Vaughn of Wapakoneta; Debbie (Eric) Wade of Bismarck, Missouri; by three step-children: Teena (Dan) Camper of Wapakoneta; Mary (Barrie) Courtney of Lima; Billie (Sue) Ford of Spencerville, Ohio; by 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; by two sisters: Sharon (Sunny) Barton of Arnold, Missouri; Frances (Harold) Leydens of Jefferson City, Missouri; by two brothers: Don (Martha) Reed of Pilot Knob, Missouri; Bill (Roberta) Reed of Citrus Heights, California.

 

Betty was retired from the Hayes-Albion Corporation in Spencerville. She devoted her life to loving and taking care of her family.

 

Funeral rites will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, February 25, 2012, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Ohio.

Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Betty’s family.
