Darlene A. Dicke, 54, of 1210 Kent Court, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 11:10 P.M. Sunday, June 15, 2008, at her daughter’s residence in Celina, following a brief illness.

She was born November 4, 1954, in Wapakoneta, Ohio, the daughter of Ferd and Rita (Link) Roth. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Wapakoneta.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her six children: Chad (Christina) Dicke of Marysville, Ohio; Jessica (Travis) Henkaline of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Michelle (Jeff) Hughes of New Castle, Indiana; Abigail (Karl) Kuck of New Knoxville, Ohio; Melissa (Joel) Ekern of Celina; Chet Dicke of Columbus; by eight grandchildren: Alexis, Abrielle, Adison, Ethan, Nathan, Madeleine, Aniyah, and Hudson. She is survived by one sister, Gloria (Steve) Moening of Lima; by her former husband, Michael Dicke of Saint Marys.

She was preceded in death by her father and by one sister, Janet Knerr.

Darlene was a 1972 graduate of Saint Joseph High School in Wapakoneta. She was employed at Dannon Yogurt Company in Minster.

She was a very involved member of New Life Christian Center in Celina. She had served as a missionary and teacher on trips to France and Granada. She loved spending time with her family and friends and she enjoyed reading.

Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Gary King, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to New Life Christian Center, Celina.
