Lois B. Browning, 84, a former resident of Otterbein St.Marys Retirement Community, St.Marys, OH, died 8:05 p.m. Tuesday, March 18,2008 at St.Marys Memorial Home in Cincinnati. She had lived at Otterbein St.Marys Retirement Community since 1988, having moved from Cincinnati. 

She was born March 5,1924 in Jackson County, KY, the daughter of John and Bertha (Gabbard) Burch. 

She married Leonard Browning on May 10, 1947; he survives at Otterbein St.Marys Retirement Community. 

She is also survived by:

¨ Wanda (Daryl) Dammeyer, of New Bremen, OH

¨ Granddaughter, Miriam Browning-Nance (and partner Laura) of New York, NY

¨ Close family friend whom Lois considered a granddaughter, Mary Rae Ward, of Cincinnati, OH

¨ Brother, Elza Burch, of Lexington, KY

¨ Leroy (Jo) Burch, of Rutherfordton, NC

¨ Many nieces and nephews 

Lois was a graduate of Nicholasville High School.  She attended Eastern College in  Kentucky.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Alliance Church in New Bremen, OH.

Private burial rites will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 20,2008 at the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Lexington, KY, the Reverend Dean Greenwood officiating.  A Requiem Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2008 in the chapel at St.Marys Memorial Home, Cincinnati, OH.  Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati or St.Marys Memorial Home.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH.  Please call 419-394-4632 with questions.
